I love writing. It’s what I always had an inkling I would do in some way, and what many others thought I would do…and now, with lots of encouragement from people in my circles who have read or listened to me voice my work, I’ve created this Substack to hone my skills and get an idea if my writing speaks to others as deeply… so thank you for being here, and please let me know if what I share touches any part of your beautiful soul.

Why ‘The Spunky Huntress’?

I know ‘spunk’ has a few different meanings, ha! But my intention of its use here is of being spirited and courageous in nature; to see, stalk and track allll the parts of being human.

The Huntress Archetype sings to me, of tracking psyche predators in the shadows of the shadows, walking over thresholds into underworld journeys; making friends in the dark and following the threads of expansive evolution.

And so, The Spunky Huntress is the essence of how I endeavor to live my life, the edges of my being always tinged by Wild Woman - she of our instinctual, primal, intuitive innate beings.

The spiral path of the labyrinth is a living metaphor for our soul exploration. The Spunky Huntress journeys inwards to expand outwards; on a path of alchemy ~ spiraling, descending, dynamic stillness, ascending...of death and rebirth.

The Themes you will see here:

• Poetry. Rites of Passage. Alchemy. Underworld journey’s. Labyrinth. Mythology. Initiation.

• The phases of a woman’s life ~ particularly around the spiritual, emotional & psychological aspects of the Mother & Birth Journey ~ and Walking the Autumn Path into The Wise Woman years (a.k.a menopause).

• My dreams, and imagery I experience through meditation and path~weaving visualisation ~ woven into story, to evoke activation and wonder.

• I may also share spoken word occasionally (such as my poetry and Path~Weaving journey’s.)

All of my writing is 100% written by a human (me.)

The only AI you will see in any of my writing is ACTIVE IMAGINATION.

Who I am on paper, and Who Am I?

I am an unschooling Mama of my 2 beautiful boys, Harling & Carter, and partner to Stu, living in the Waikato, in the North Island of New Zealand.

I’m a musician, offer Women’s Circles & Events (Seasons & Circles), Deep Work for the Mother & Birth Journey (Mama~Cocoon), Rites of Passage, Ceremony (such as Mama Blessings and Handfasting) & 1:1 Catalyst Connection Sessions. Currently in creation: Sisters of the Mycelium Moon ~ a Sisterhood of Circle Facilitators.
